How It Started.

While leading cybersecurity teams for a medical devices organization, Alexis Moyse needed an Identity Governance tool but was fed up with the options available on the market. Even with a modest budget, she was either priced out of options or didn’t have the team in place to deploy and manage such overly complicated solutions.

Clarity started off as a mixture of Python and Bash scripts, but after reaching out to her friend and developer genius, Greg Glass, Clarity quickly transformed into the robust and intuitive Risk Powered Governance platform customers know and love today.

How It's Going.

Since 2021 we’ve helped our customers transform their identity management policies and landscapes. Helping to better secure their environments, reduce risk, and develop a security-first mindset. In just a few years, Clarity has become the leading Risk Powered Governance tool for enterprise identity management.

Backed by Silverton Partners, the same venture group that supported well-known Identity products like SailPoint and Ping, Clarity is the first Identity Governance tool that the firm has invested in for over 20 years.

We want to help transform the IAM landscape of U.S. enterprises so that there are less than 1,500 organizations without formal governance in place. Access Management and RPG are a foundational aspect of effective cybersecurity. We want to help IT and IS teams take back control of their identity landscapes in a way that also transforms their larger relationship with stakeholders and executive teams.

Governance sucks. We made it suck less.

Almost every organization, regardless of size or resources, has a hard time getting a handle on access management. Every cybersecurity professional understands the importance of role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege but without an Risk Powered Governance platform, these best practices are almost impossible to implement.

We both have first-hand experience with the exhausting exercise of trying to convince internal stakeholders to buy into IT and IS initiatives. And don't get us started on the stories we have about trying to complete an audit when managers won't give you the time of day when you ask them to respond to reviews.

IT and IS operations have reached a critical point. Most security teams are having to do more, manage more, respond to more, with fewer and fewer resources. Not every organization has the luxury of hiring a team to manage a governance platform. And that's if you can find the talent in the first place (we're looking at you, global cybersecurity talent shortage)
